Happy Sunday! We’ve had another full and bust weekend! You may have seen my quick post yesterday about the Reindeer Romp 5K! This was so much fun. Ryan and I actually ran this race last year, too. This year was special because all of the girls in my Girls on the Run team were also running in the race. All semester, our girls have been training and this was their culminating run! Ryan was also running with some of the students from his school, so we were both up bright and early to join the crowd.
They were so excited and I was so proud of all of them.
This is a pretty big 5K, but it is so much fun. It’s more fun than competitive. There are no prizes given for winners. The goal is just to do your best and finish! All of our girls that ran the 5K finished the race!
After the race was over, I had to race home to get ready for a family gathering. I was making a super-delicious dessert item that I had just found on Mama Pea’s blog: Chocolate Cookie Dough Cups! Click here to view the recipe on her blog!
These were so delicious! If you have a holiday gathering to go to, these are a great item to make. They aren’t very hard and there is no baking involved. It’s basically like eating a Reese’s cup… but there is chocolate chip cookie dough inside instead. How can you say no to that??? I’ll definitely be making them again!
Every single cup was eaten!
We had beautiful weather for the family gathering!
There was lots to eat and it was fun to catch up with everyone on Ryan’s side of the family!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
